LDC WORKSHOP X FRIENDS IN PICNIC COLLABORATION
Friends In DC and LDC collaborated to bring about a free picnic and workshop as a means of cultivating community and engaging the community with Vanessa’s sustainable art practice. Participants had the opportunity to turn their own denim clothing and/or canvas tote bags into personalized wearable art!
BLACK GIRLS IN ART SPACES X EATON HOUSE MAKERS MARKET WORKSHOP
Lion’s Den Creative was invited to host a hand-sewing workshop to member of the BGIAS DMV Chapter, teaching participants the basic of hand-sewing to create patchwork designs on their own denim garments!
MADEWELL DENIM YOUR WAY EVENT CO-HOSTED BY LDC
In September of 2022, LDC partnered with Madewell Georgetown to provide live painting customizations on denim pieces brought in or purchased from the store.
LEE JEANS X LDC HOLIDAY GIFTING COLLAB
LDC was granted the opportunity to collaborate with Lee Jeans to design and hand-paint nine denim jackets for celebrities/influencers. Pictured are the jackets created for Sam Smith, Heather Morris, Jessica Alba, and Jeff Carvalho.
MARIE CLAIRE FALL 2020 ISSUE FEATURE
An LDC hand-painted piece was featured in a “Front of Book” page of the Marie Claire Fall 2020 Issue titled, "Room to Grow." We are beyond grateful for Julia Gall of Marie Claire who initially reached out to Vanessa for the opportunity!
